Full of enchantment and romance, Jean and Dean’s Club Med Tomamu wedding looked straight out of Frozen (in the best possible way). Falling in love with the stunning Hokkaido venue, the two originally found their dream wedding location while planning a family ski holiday. “When we saw there was one of the world’s most picturesque ice villages at Tomamu we thought it was the perfect place to have a winter wedding,” says Jean. Sounds pretty good to us.
Taking inspiration from the winter wonderland setting, Jean and Dean said “I do” in a magical ice-chapel ceremony after an impressive entrance from the bride. With her gorgeous Anna Campbell dress hemmed specifically for ski boots, Jean arrived at the venue’s chapel by skis and tied the knot with Dean surrounded by loved ones. Fitting in time for a whimsical photo session and another ski run, the two later celebrated the occasion with French Champagne, delicious fare (we’re told the snow crab was a hit) and a dazzling fireworks display. “There was this big explosion of colour over the chapel,” remembers Jean. “Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would experience something so beautiful!”
Full of amazing moments, Jean and Dean’s special day was all about one very important thing. “Being a blended family, we were so excited to share a truly magical winter wedding with our children,” says Jean. “The entire day was straight out of a movie and to see the delight on the kids’ faces meant so much to us.”
