Marianne and Graham’s destination wedding in Lebanon was nothing short of glamorous from beginning to end. From the ethereal wedding gown (complete with a three-metre-long lace train), to the incredible San Stephano Cathedral and every little detail in between, this day was everything that this couple could have dreamt of (and more!)
Saying “I do” in the very cathedral that her mother was baptised in, Marianne wore a Peter Trends Bridal gown straight out of every little girls’ Cinderella dreams. “I knew exactly the style I wanted for a very long time, however, I did not envisage wearing it in the searing Mediterranean summer heat!” says Marianne.
Taking a little ‘something borrowed’ from her sister, Marianne also wore a custom-made Rosa Clara veil totalling five metres long to complement the train and frame of the incredible wedding gown. The GDW team is swooning over some serious fairytale wedding inspiration here.
Although it would be pretty easy to get caught up in the glitz and glamour of this magical day, Marianne’s advice to brides is to “take a special moment on your day to just breathe and take it all in, with just your partner next to you, even if just for a minute.”
Bringing together family and friends who hadn’t been together in over a decade, this celebration was simply unforgettable. “We wanted it to be chic and stylish but definitely relaxed. It was more like one big party” says Marianne “nobody sat down at the reception, we just danced for hours and hours… It truly was all about the family, food and dancing.”
