A love of the tropics inspired this couple’s island-glam wedding..
If you ask us, some of the best weddings are those that feel like one big party. So it’s no surprise we’re head over heels in love with Maz and Jason’s Koh Samui nuptials. Blissfully laid-back and full of fun, this union was made simply unforgettable by a dreamy setting. “We love the tropics and Thailand is especially close to our hearts as I used to live there,” says Maz. “For our wedding, we really wanted to go somewhere we could be with all our favourite people for a whole week and just switch off from our day-to-day routines.”
Doing just that, Maz and Jason joined loved ones at The Tongsai Bay for a spectacular week-long celebration. Exchanging vows at the resort’s Chef Chom’s Restaurant with picture-perfect water views in the distance, the newlyweds really let their hair down later that day with sunset drinks and a gorgeous seaside reception at The Tongsai Bay’s Po-lad Beach Bistro. “The day was filled with so many special moments,” says Maz. “From extreme rock climbing, cocktail in hand, during our photo session to conga lining down to the water with our guests later that night, everything was amazing!”
A definite highlight of the night, Maz and Jason’s Asian street food-inspired wedding menu perfectly complemented the feel of the day. “All our guests raved about the food, and the reception space was just magical,” says Maz. “The bistro had the best sea breezes and we partied the rest of the night away with a full moon over the bay. It was paradise!”
