Nothing could stop this couple from having their perfect wedding in paradise. A beautiful celebration made sensational by friends and family, Sheree and Jared’s special day admittedly didn’t start with the smoothest of beginnings. But, in spite of a couple of wardrobe challenges and a rainy forecast, the two said “I do” in an utterly delightful wedding filled with love.
Planning a classic celebration at Phuket’s fabulous Centara Grand Beach Resort, the couple were getting excited to escape to paradise when an unfortunate dress disaster meant finding a last-minute replacement. “The new dress wasn’t ready by the time we left, so I had to get my father to bring it to Thailand with him a few days later,” remembers Sheree. Luckily, everything worked out and Sheree was reunited with her dream dress – before another challenge arose.
“One of the groomsmen forgot to pack his dress shoes and didn’t realise until the wedding day,” explains Sheree. “The groomsmen went frantically shopping on the day but the best they could find was a pair of black sneakers!” Laughing it off, Sheree and Jared felt nothing but love when they exchanged vows in an intimate beach ceremony. “The beach setting was just so spectacular,” says Sheree. “We all felt like we were in paradise.” Cleverly thinking ahead, the two swapped their outdoor reception for a party in the venue’s grand ballroom at last minute to avoid the forecasted rain. The result? A laughter-filled gathering that everyone loved! “The food was amazing and all the finishing touches had been seen to, right down to the gorgeous flowers.”
Fitting in time for heartfelt speeches (including a super-sweet speech from the bride’s nine-year-old son), Sheree and Jared joined loved ones on the dance floor and enjoyed the moment. “We loved being there with our close friends and family,” says Sheree. “We felt like we were all on a big holiday – it was a feeling that went on for weeks!”
